General Colin Powell goes against his party and gives endorsements for Obama's campaign.
Although gen. Powell is a republican he has made the descision to elect Sen. Obama for president. Powell and Mccain have been long time friends for over two decades but the two share different views in politics. Powell believes Obama is ready to lead the nation and that he has a steady approach to problem solving. On the other hand he disagrees with McCains choice in vice president and on his views. Powell took a stand and went against his party for what he believes is right. You to can make a change by voting on tuesday Nov. 4th 2008. OBAMA

I dont think that just because you are a Republican or a Democrat you should choose "sides" elections are about who is the better canidate.
I actually agree with you Sara. Difference in ideas can not be based around a persons political standings rather who will lead the country better. Yet I feel that the problem more so is not with the political parties chosing sides but with citizens not choosing either in today generation. More people need to come out and let their voice be heard (not to sound to cliche).
Well I am a supporter of Obama and I think what Powell did was a wise choice. It took a lot of courage for him to go against his political party and support Obama. This is looking good for Obama and hopefully more people will come in his direction. Obama!!
Powell is making a right move just because you are for one group you shouldnt always stick to that one group. Its a great time for change and Powell is making a great move by starting change with Obama
